The Casio WK500 Personal Keyboard is built with the use of Casio's new AHL sound technology! The AHL (Acoustic & Highly-compressed Large-waveform) technology boasts a realistic reproduction of tones from pianos to organs and more. With 48 notes of polyphony, these new keyboards ensure that all sounds played are heard, even when playing complex parts with the aid of on-board accompaniment. This keyboard also features piano-style keys for a more natural feel. Equipped with built-in sampling features, you can record any sound or musical phrases using the microphone (or audio input) jack and then play them back on the keyboard. Casio has taken great leaps in upgrading the Step Up Lesson function those just starting to learn. Young and growing musicians can learn to play songs phrase-by-phrase by listening to the progression, watching the LCD screen to see where to play and then repeating the simple parts on the keyboard this process will help any new player learn through memory by playing the song phrases with little assistance. This package comes bundles with professional closed-cup headphones, single x-braced keyboard stand, and a power supply.

All I really wanted when I was purchasing a keyboard was to be able to practice the piano in my own room without bothering my roommates. This purchase was exactly what I needed because the package came with headphones, the stand, and an adapter. I was able to start playing immediately after I set it up. I have enjoyed using it every day since!
Of course it's not a real piano, so the touch-sensitive keys aren't as good, the clicking of the keys when you press on them is a bit noisy, and the feel is a little different, but I adjusted easily and it hasn't been an issue. |
Excellent keyboard, however delivery from this vendor is very late

Keyboard arrived in good condition. as usual i dont like UPS service. they will just leave the item outside your house, evenif you are in the house. that aside all items were well packed and came in one box. Excellent keyboard, i have to spend time to learn the memory functions and rythm editor.
also the item was shipped 3weeks after the order was placed. since i was in no hurry, thats not a problem. however if you need it in a week, check with different vendor. |

The keyboard is exactly what I expected, and very good quality tone (unlike the earlier casio's that had very bad tone quality).
My big surprise was the quality of the stand and headphones for the price. Each is independently worth the 15->20 bucks extra.
Two minor issues:
1.) Everything was packaged in the keyboard box, and when the box arrived it was very tattered.
2.) From the looks of things the transformer came with the keyboard (not part of the additional items in this package). The transformer is Casio brand and was packaged in one of the the foam end caps like it belonged there. I would do a little research if to see if this keyboard comes with a transformer if you are ordering this package just because it contains a transformer.
