I am not a professional musician, but I know what I am doing when it comes to keyboards. This is a great MIDI controller and works perfectly with Ableton (both the included Lite version and full-on Live version). Knobs and sliders have a solid feel to them. Keys are quick and responsive. This is a meat and potatoes keyboard for those who know what they need and for the money, it can’t be beat! Caveat: if you are a pianist, you may want a more expensive hammer-action keyboard or else you’ll find this keyboard way too fast.

I bought this at an in-store location on sale, not online. As far as quality, you get what you pay for. You should not be looking for grand piano feel & action from a controller a little over $100. If it had a few pads for playing beats that would be better. I know there is a controller, M-Audio AXIOM 49 Advanced 49-Key Semi-Weighted USB MIDI Controller, made by the same company that has that feature, but I guess I’m just looking for more for my dollar. My favorite controllers are Novation’s 61 SL MkII Keyboard Controller and the Studiologic VMK-188 Plus 88-Key Master Controller. The VMK-188 has the best action and feel I’ve ever encountered, as far as controllers are concerned, although Real pianos are still the king.
