Product Description
Up until now, musicians wanting a quality MIDI-controller keyboard built for long term reliability and the strength to stand up to life on the road were forced to pay for a hi-end synth-workstation with a synth engine that was surplus to requirements since the advent of virtual studio technology. The CME UF Series changes all this. Designed for professional musicians to use in the studio or take on the road, the UF series has a body that is made of metal. This results in a MIDI master controller keyboard that both looks good and has the strength required by demanding musicians. Aftertouch - this feature lets you push down harder once a key is played to send the MIDI aftertouch controller message. This can commonly be assigned to a wide range of fuctions within the synthesizer or sound module you are playing and allows you to modify a sound in real-time for a more expressive performance. It is most commonly used to introduce vibrato, raise the filter-cutoff point or introduce pitch-bend, but many other possibilities exist. The big advantage of aftertouch is that you can modify a sound without the need to free up a hand to move a modulation wheel or other controller Connect to a PC or Macintosh computer via the supplied USB cable. This provides a MIDI connection to software sequencers and virtual instruments meaning a seperate MIDI interface will not be required DC Input Socket
